Crayon Resist Technique - Welcome Christmas Card

This is a card I made using the Winter Post stamp set and Heard from the Heart sentiment stamp set.  I used the crayon resist technique to add highlighting to the snowflakes and the sentiment. This is one of the prettiest snow flake stamps I've seen.  I also wanted to feature the new colors that came in my first SU demonstrator kit which are the Pacific Point, Rich Razzelberry, and Daffodil Delight.  I also used the Scallop Trim border punch.  Added a little ribbon and cold cording and stick on rhinestones.

For the crayon resist, stamp your image on glossy cardstock with Jet Black StazOn ink.  Let it set for a few minutes.  Then take your white crayon (traditional Crayola crayon is what I used) and color around your image/sentiment.  Use a sponge to apply the dye ink colors directly from the ink pad over the images and sentiment. Then take a paper towel and rub.  The crayon wax resists the ink and leaves a nice white highlight to your image.  This is one of my favorite techniques because it is so simple and uses so few items.
